Welcome Dinner at Alkimia (*Michelin) with the Wines of Álvaro Palacios

Our adventure begins in Barcelona with a Welcome Dinner at the famed restaurant Alkimia (Michelin one star) in their wonderful private room. Chef Jordi Vilà, a true master of Catalan gastronomy - and arguably one of the best chefs in town will pair his brilliant chef’s menu with the famous wines of Álvaro Palacios’s three wineries, including top vintages of L'Ermita, La Faraona and Valmira. Alvaro Palacios is one of the most dynamic winemakers in Spain.

Although originally from La Rioja where he now produces top Grenache wines at the family winery in Alfaro, Alvaro’s passion for excellence brought him to Priorat where he quickly became one of the top producers in Spain. A path that led him to El Bierzo where he has a third winery with his nephew "Titín". Palacios’s wines will be the perfect accompaniment to the cuisine of Alkimia.

Excursion to Penedès and Disfrutar (***Michelin & #2 The World’s 50 Best Restaurants) Culinary Experience with Champagne Salon-Delamotte

Our second day will start with a short drive (thirty minutes) to Sant Sadurní d'Anoia in Penedès for a visit to the legendary sparkling house of Raventos of Raventós i Blanc, now leading its own Conca del Riu Anoia appelation. Our gracious host Pepe Raventós will offer us a tasting of the top wines in his cellar, including his own Mas del Serral cuvée and old vintages of Manuel Raventós Negra, his father. After the tasting we will be served a delicious, intimate lunch at the winery prepared by a local chef.

Dinner will be back in Barcelona at the incredible Disfrutar, which means “Enjoy” in English. In 2023 Disfrutar was voted number two in The World's 50 Best Restaurants and has earned 3 stars from Michelin guide. Chefs Oriol Castro, Eduard Xatruch and Mateu Casañas launched Disfrutar after working together as head chefs at El Bulli. Their mission was to create a mecca of creative fine dining that pushes the envelope of gastronomy. Champagne is the perfect match for the “Festival Menu” at Disfrutar, so we will be serving amazing verticals of Salon and Delamotte Blanc de Blancs Collection. Disfrutar is one of the hardest reservations to secure in the world, so we are honored to present this truly exclusive experience.
